Q: Hey Siri, What is a Green Bay Packer anyways? A: A Green Bay Packer is 3-1 Thanks to the Eagles. I had been dreading this game since the schedule came out. Short week. Away game. Aaron Rodgers. That only increased with the recent play in the previous 3 games. Sloppy football does not travel well to Lambeau field. Sometime around 8pm last night that all went away. I just got this feeling over me. The Eagles were going to win this game. I was feeling good man. Maybe it was all the ass kissing the Packers and Aaron Rodgers…

Man this sucks. I didn’t see this coming, I should of seen this coming but I really didn’t. Here we are, starting week 4 and the Eagles are 1-2. Just barely. As optimistic as the coaches and players talk about how the Eagles are just a few plays away from 3-0 the exact argument could be made that they could just as easily be 0-3. Call me a Negadelphian (ya know, if you’re an asshole who enjoys trite expressions) but I don’t see things changing on a short week despite, Pederson surprisingly, going undefeated on short weeks. I don’t know…

Fuck Detroit. The Lions must be the only NFL team that loves away games if only because they get to leave that shit-hole of a city for a couple days. Has anyone ever seen a Lions fan IRL? I did once, just once. More rare than mithril they only come out after sweeping Greenbay, only to crawl back in their igloos when they still manage to go 6-10 for last place in their division. The Lions were the Browns before the Browns were the Browns. They had the best WR in the NFL and stunk. They had arguably the greatest…

DID NOT PARTICIPATE RB Corey Clement (shoulder) TE Dallas Goedert (calf) WR DeSean Jackson (abdomen) WR Alshon Jeffery (calf) DT Timmy Jernigan (foot) OT Jordan Mailata (back) LIMITED PARTICIPATION DE Derek Barnett (shoulder) DT Fletcher Cox (toe) S Johnathan Cyprien (knee) S Rudy Ford (hamstring) LB Nathan Gerry (knee, calf) LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (knee) FULL PARTICIPATION QB Nate Sudfeld (wrist) It’s good to see Sudfeld is back in the mix. Especially nice to see Grugier-Hill is getting back to practice, even if limited. I would expect both Barnett and Cox will be playing. Jackson, Jeffery and Goedert all did not…

Jackson is out for 2 weeks it seems. Jeffery is out for 2 weeks or possibly will play hurt? No official update there. Jernigan most likely out 4 to 6 weeks or more. Malik Jackson is out for the year. Goedert is nursing the same calf injury from the preseason. If you’re keeping count that’s 2 starting WR’s, 2 DT’s and a TE. That doesn’t even touch on the starters still recovering from injuries but playing, the injured role players like Clement or the players who are still recovering from injuries sustained in the preseason. The Eagles have got blasted…

The Eagles focus is on their week 3 opponent, the Detroit Lions, as it should be… but I’m under no such constraints. So what do we have to worry about or be excited for in the weeks that come? Lets take a quick look at some of that. Ugh… Week 4… So imagine you are a Philadelphia Eagles player. You just got done a tough game against the Detroit Lions. You’re tired, sore and you’re heading home. You pull off the interstate ready to hit the bed when you realize in less than 4 days you’re getting on a plane,…

In a move that surprised literally nobody, Eli Manning has been benched for Giants 1st round pick Rookie Daniel Jones. Manning who will be getting paid $23,000,000.00 to keep the bench warm, is just the latest of dumb moves by the Giants front office. The Giants would of been better off cutting Eli and only paying him $11,000,000.00 to keep Peyton’s couch warm. If they could of found a team to trade for him (a big if) they could of got away with only having to pay him $5,000,000.00 to make some of their competition worse. Anyone not drenched in…

Each week TPE will take a look at the upcoming match-up and give our hottest of hot takes. So lets go ahead on focus our Eagle Eye on the Enemy… Putting the week two loss behind us will be painful. The shoulda, woulda and coulda will stick with me for quite awhile but in the NFL it’s all about winning the day. With that in mind lets go ahead and take a first look at The Detroit Lions. Don’t worry, we’ll still have the rest of the week to dwell on week 2. A Clear Victory? When the schedule was…

It would be no surprise that The Eagles and Chris Long remain in communication. Prior to the 2019 season amid reports that Long was not interested in coming back with a diminished role, he decided to retire from the league. With the recent serious injuries to Malik Jackson and Timmy Jernigan that role may now have the chance to expand as Brandon Graham will more than likely switch back to the 3rd down DT. Long who is just starting a digital media company by the name of Fishbowl, during an interview with The Athletic would not rule out a return…

The much needed help for the Philadelphia Eagles secondary will not be coming via a trade with the Dolphins. The Eagles have been mentioned recently as a trade target for 2nd year first round pick Minkah Fitzpatrick but early reports today have verified that he will be going west of Philadelphia to the Pittsburg Steelers. The Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly are shopping Jalen Ramsey after he has apparently requested to be traded after their most recent loss. If the Eagles can acquire him for a similar price that Minkah just went for this could be good news. Keep an eye on…
